Happy 75th Birthday to The King!
So, the late King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley, would have been turing 75 today January 8th. Rock and Roll would not be anything like it is today if it weren’t for Elivis. He paved the way for future rock artists who are eternally grateful. He also took risks like no other preceeding artist such as combining blues with popular music and especially in the way he danced. Who knows… if Elvis would have never graced us with his music we might be listening to instrumental backgrounds and dance with only with a variety of one or two moves. LOL So, be thankful for this genius & take a little time today to remember him and all he did for the wonderful world of music! This is by far one of my favorite Elvis songs, I’m sure everyone’s already heard this one before, but ENJOY!!! ;D

Yoko Ono Plans To Write A John Lennon Memoir
During a web chat with her fans, Yoko Ono alluded to her plans to write a memoir about her life with John Lennon. Before now, she had been reluctant to release such intimate details about their life together to avoid hurting others that were involved as well such as Cynthia & Juilian Lennon (his first wife and son). Yoko is turning 77 next month so probably figures she might as well share all the history she had with John that so many fans have been anticipating for years. Questions have been asked, I assume it’s now time for those questions to be answered. Ono stated that, her “next book will be written in the next five years.” So, definitely look out for it and you know that I will write a review it when it releases as well! =D
Upcoming Releases January 2010
So, here are a few albums that will be released in January 2010 that look pretty decent to me:
Never Shout Never: What is Love? (Jan. 26)
Motion City Soundtrack: My Dinosaur Life (Jan. 19th)
Ringo Starr: Y Not (Jan. 12th)
Weezer: Rarities Edition (Jan. 5th)
O.A.R.: Rain or Shine (Jan. 12th)
Vampire Weekend: Contra (Jan. 12th)
OK Go: Of the Blue Colour of the Sky (Jan. 12th)
Spoon: Transference (Jan. 19th)
Corinne Bailey Rae: The Sea (Jan. 26th)
Lady Antebellum: Need You Now (Jan. 26th)
Yeah, seems like a good month for music. I’m especially looking forward to Motion City Soundtrack and Never Shout Never’s new albums.
And then there are those that I’m not looking forward to at all. Hence: ….will not be purchasing.
Katharine McPhee: Unbroken (She’s still making music??!??)
Kesha: Animal (need I saymore???)
Heidi Montag: Superficial (OMG, seriously… Heidi has NO musical ability what-so-ever!! She definitely needs to stick to “reality acting”.

100 Most Shocking Music Moments
VH1 is premiering a special tonight on the 100 Most Shocking Music Moments in history at 9:00pm et/pt. The show is to cover all things from Britney Spears shaving her head to Michael Jackson’s untimely death. I find it kind of odd that VH1 has a wrestler (Chris Jericho) hosting the show who is obviuously not a musician himself or has any background in music. Although, if you are a music lover and enjoy following all things musical as do I, I’d recommend tuning in and re-living those outrageous moments all over again before this decade is over… and you only have 3 days left! And FYI: this is part one of a five part series that will be aired over the next couple of weeks I believe.
