Have you heard of the band Paper Tongues yet? Their new hit “Ride to California” is so catchy it stays stuck in my head hours after I hear it. They’re a fairly new band formed in 2007 in Charlotte, North Carolina and then moved to California in hopes of getting a record deal. This is where the inspiration for their hit song came from. It peaked at number 22 on Billboard Chart of Alternative Songs. The lead singer Aswan North has impeccable vocals and their particular take on mixing hip-hop and rock & roll is quite refreshing.
